Shelter in place

Hey friends and fam! Luke and I have been able to text some but he is in transit headed to a new port so hopefully when he gets there in a few days we can phone and video chat.
What an interesting time we are living in right now! I headed back to Collierville today and there are always new catchy messages on the digital highway signs on my route between Oxford and Memphis. It currently says to "shelter in place". Not a message I thought I would ever see on those signs. It's tough to stay put when you want to go. It's hard to stay in when you want to be out. And not easy to stay away when you want to interact. But it's been a good reminder that I'm not in control but I can trust the One who is! And we can learn so much in these moments of sitting still!
Luke has one more step in becoming a lay leader/chaplain on the ship! His captain on the ship has to sign something so hoping that goes well and he can begin doing a Bible study on the ship this week. Prayers for that for courage and boldness and love and relationships built!
Luke has also been helping the Doctor on the ship get a certification on how the ship works (again, my civilian language). And they have seen some pretty sunrises and sunsets! I celebrated Easter with my parents and sister via Zoom. Mom and Dad and I went on a nice walk over the weekend with the pups exploring to get some fresh air. We hope you all are doing well sheltering in place! More photo updates below.
